Getting beautiful henna is only half the journey — proper aftercare is what transforms a fresh design into a deep, rich, long-lasting stain. The hours immediately after your appointment matter most.
Leave the paste on as long as possible. For party designs, aim for at least 4 hours; for bridal mehndi, overnight is ideal. The longer the natural dye sits on your skin, the darker your final color will be.
Keep the area warm and avoid water for the first 24 hours. Water interrupts the oxidation process that deepens your stain. Once the paste flakes off, apply a natural oil or balm instead of washing the area.
Seal it for extra darkness. A mixture of lemon juice and sugar dabbed gently over dried paste helps it adhere and intensifies color. Afterward, moisturize daily and avoid scrubbing or exfoliating to keep your design vibrant for up to three weeks.
